Our Story
Every great name begins with a story. In this case, Hipster Granola, or "Hipnola" was chosen by a rather, interesting story.
One day, Ryan brought Hipnola into the workplace attempting to feed my high-quality-granola-deprived coworkers. When asking them to try the unique flavors, in a playful manner, one of them jokingly stated, "We don't want to try your Hipster Granola." Ryan couldn't help but laugh at the statement. Not only at the bluntness of the joke, but the creation of the name Hipnola called out, latching a vision of a curious brand into his head.

Hipnola began with a love for baking and sharing the experience with others.

Ryan just about had it with store-bought granolas being too high in sugar content and including low quality ingredients. He sought out to create granola with unique flavors that everyone can enjoy while also being satisfied with a low amount of sweetness.
He began by searching for other brands' products to see if they produced flavored granola while also maintaining low sugar content and did not see much out there. This is where he started creating test batches of Cinnamon Maple. A wonderfully light granola giving off the sweet aroma of cinnamon sticks. Once perfected, Cinnamon Maple became a hit flavor. The excitement of folks enjoying a recipe that Ryan had made lit a fire in him to create more flavors and become a brand.

Motivation and drive led the path for Hipnola to become what it is: a community helping health-driven and outdoor-minded people find a breakfast item worth consuming.
